(Deuteronomy 6: 6 – 7) These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children.
Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
(1 Peter 3:15) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that ask you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear
(2 Timothy 2:15) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17) All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness
These verses (and many more) are what the Bible itself is telling us regarding the importance of Bible study from both the old and new testaments. Come join us Saturday evening after vespers prayer.
Church Bible Study group meets at the church every Saturday immediately following vespers prayer. Currently we are studying the book of Hebrews.
